Herb Folk: Poultices + Compresses

However there’s a whole world of other ways to use herbs in daily life- and poultices and compresses are some of them.
They form part of the hands-on art of herbalism and a tradition of home healthcare that I’d love to revitalise in our modern age.
Our guest educator this month is Connie Page, medical herbalist and kinesiologist. She was a very popular speaker at HerbFest earlier this year.
By the time you’ll leave, you’ll understand:
* when you’d use a poultice/compress rather than another herbal preparation
* how to do it (ie steep times, how long do you leave it on for, when to refresh, when to use warm/ cold compress)
* which herbs are most commonly used for poultice/ compress
* which ailments are most commonly treated
This will absolutely be a very hands-on workshop. I want us to have muscle memory in performing these simple homecare tasks.
Join us for what’s sure to be another fun Herb Folk event.
