This month at Herb Folk, we’re diving deep into one of the true powerhouses of the herbal world: Nettles!

They’re bold, they’re nourishing, and they’ve been a herbalist favourite for generations.

Our special guest is Alyson Maier — naturopath and author of a beautiful new kids’ herbal book — and she’s bringing all her nettle magic to share with us. Together, we’ll explore:

🌿 Herbal actions + energetics
🌿 Growing, harvesting + wildcrafting tips
🌿 How to use nettles as both food and medicine
🌿 Hands-on herbal prep and safety 

And of course, it wouldn’t be a Herb Folk session without getting our hands in it! We’ll make a warming forager’s nettle soup, and while it’s bubbling away, we’ll make another nettle remedy.

We haven’t quite finalised what remedy yet, but it’ll either be: a gorgeous nettle + rosemary hair oil, a nettle clay face mask or a nettle vinegar hair rinse.
