Lemon Balm | Herb Folk
Learning herbal medicine can get really overwhelming and confusing, especially if we’re just learning with our head.
The joy of Herb Folk is that it’s experiential, community learning. You get to directly experience the herb we’re learning about, as well as nerd our with others passionate about herbs, plant medicine and living more naturally.
In April, we’re being joined by popular local naturopath Karen McElroy and she’ll be introducing us to Lemon Balm – melissa officinalis.
Lemon Balm has a long history and is a really easy-to-grow herb with a variety of everyday uses in your home so it’s a wonderful one to add to your toolkit.
At each Herb Folk, you’ll get hands on experience, tasting and make something from the herb, as well as learning:
- history and folklore
- energetics and taste
- herbal actions
- indications for use, based on modern research and traditional use
- safety and contraindications etc
My hope is you’ll walk away with a full heart, a practical toolkit, and a deeper relationship with plant medicine.
Held at private farm in Ninderry – address will be emailed a few days prior to event.
