DESCRIPTION:Your taste buds are a potent gateway to deeply understanding he
 rbal medicine.\n\n\n\nHerbal tastes give us patterns for how herbs might wo
 rk in our body (based on what constituents are present) and what the best m
 edicine-making technique will be for each herb.\n\n\n\nIn this deeply exper
 iential course\, you’ll build your own relationship with the herbs throug
 h direct experience with the 5 major tastes: pungent\, bitter\, sweet\, sal
 ty and sour.\n\n\n\nUnderstanding herbal tastes\, you’ll be able to:\n\n\
 n\n\nknow the general patterns of how these herbs work in our body\n\n\n\nk
 now what chemical constituents are likely to be present and then we know wh
 ich preparation methods best suit those constituents\n\n\n\nbuild a direct 
 relationship with a plant and\n\n\n\ntake ownership of your knowledge and u
 nderstanding – you’re relying on your OWN experience\, rather than just
  what someone’s said.\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll also have a chance to talk about w
 hy different herbal traditions have different tastes\, how to understand co
 mplexity of tastes in herbs\, and different ways to make remedies and why w
 e’d choose one way over another – ie infused oils\, vinegars\, alcohol 
 tinctures etc\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmbodied Herbalism gives you a really 
 grounded starting place so you feel confident to explore and better underst
 and your herbal medicine.\n\n\n\nAnd\, in our screen-saturated world\, wher
 e so much learning takes place with our head\, this course will give you th
 e nudge you need to get herbalism out of your head and into your hands and
